Required Ingredients:
- 🌾 3 ¾ cups flour (450 g)
- 🌾 ⅓ cup flour, for starter activation (40 g)
- 🧪 2 ¼ tsp dry yeast (10 g) or 0.7 oz fresh yeast (20 g)
- 💧 1 ¼ cups warm water (300 ml)
- 🍬 2 tsp sugar (10 g)
- 🧂 2 tsp salt (10 g)
- 🫒 1 ½ tbsp olive oil (20 ml)
🏷️ For the herb sauce:
- 🫒 ¼ cup + 2 tsp olive oil (70 ml)
- 🌿 chopped parsley, to taste
- 🌿 chopped dill (optional)
- 🌿 basil (optional, ideal)
- 🧄 1 garlic clove, minced
🏷️ For the topping:
- 🧀 grated semi-hard cheese
- 🫒 sliced olives
Instructions:
🏷️ Preparing the starter:
- Place the yeast, sugar, and the ⅓ cup flour in a bowl.
- Add the warm water and mix well.
- Cover the bowl and let the starter rise for about 10 minutes.
🏷️ Preparing the dough:
- Add the remaining flour, salt, and oil to the starter.
- Knead until a smooth, elastic, and homogeneous dough forms.
- Cover and let rise until it triples in volume.
🏷️ Preparing the sauce:
- Mix the olive oil with parsley, dill, basil, and minced garlic.
- Stir well and set aside.
🏷️ Shaping the pizza bread:
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a round shape, sized to fit the pan.
- Transfer to the pan and make shallow cuts with a knife in the desired pattern.
- Spread the herb sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle grated cheese generously, especially along the cut lines.
- Add the sliced olives.
🏷️ Baking:
- Place the pan in a cold oven set to 355°F (180°C), convection setting.
- Bake on the lower rack until the cheese is nicely golden.
