Zesty Orange Cake with White Chocolate – Soft, fragrant, and made using the whole orange! This cake is drenched in fresh citrus syrup and finished with a sweet white chocolate glaze for a true explosion of flavor.
Ingredients:
- 🍊 1 large orange (thin peel, well washed)
- 🥚 3 eggs
- 🍬 1 cup sugar (200 g)
- 🛢️ 7 tbsp oil (105 ml)
- 🌾 2 cups all-purpose flour (approx. 240 g)
- 🧁 1 packet baking powder (approx. 10 g)
🏷️ For the syrup:
- 🍊 juice of 1 orange
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar (12–15 g)
🏷️ For decoration:
- 🍫 glaze or melted white chocolate (optional)
Instructions:
🏷️ Preparing the loaf cake:
- Cut the orange into pieces, remove the seeds and the bitter white pith.
- Place the orange pieces in a blender together with the eggs, sugar, and oil, and blend until smooth.
- Add the flour and baking powder and mix until fully combined.
- Pour the batter into a loaf pan (12×4 in / 30×10 cm) lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F (170°C), without convection, for about 50–60 minutes.
- Check doneness with a toothpick, then allow the cake to cool slightly.
🏷️ Preparing the syrup:
- Boil the orange juice with the sugar for 2–3 minutes.
- Pour the hot syrup over the warm cake, allowing it to absorb completely.

- Once the syrup is fully absorbed, decorate with glaze or melted white chocolate.
